Adventure treks to achieve

From Delhi, there are numerous places to trek. One can opt any one from the varied options available.

Trekking in Delhi or from Delhi is thus a very common thing in long weekends.


SANDAKPHU-PHALUT TREK: This trek is going to start on 17th September at 10 AM in the morning and will end on 23rd September. The entire trek is organised by the ‘Nature Walkers’ and one has to book their tickets with an amount of Rs 9350. We all know that Sandakphu is the highest peak of the Singalila national park. From here one can have a breathtaking view of the four tallest mountains of the world. They are Mt Makalu (8481 m), Mt Kanchenjunga (8598 m), Mt Lhotse (8571 m) and Mt Everest (8848 m). We all know that Kanchenjunga is the third highest peak of the world and it is also known by the name ‘The Sleeping Buddha’. The Singalila forest range is also the home for many wild life animals. The most popular one is the Red Panda which is also the national animal of the state of Sikkim. Here the trek route follows the Indian and the Nepal border and one will be constantly entering and exiting Nepal while following this trek route. This route has some amazing monasteries, snow covered tracks and grass lands. One can get to see a lot of rhododendrons. But this trek is definitely not for the beginners. For the rest, the difficulty level of this trek depends on their stamina and strength. It is to the most a moderate levelled trek. One has to cover a distance of 10 to 11 kms per day. Every day treks will begin in the early morning as it is not possible to continue the trek post sun set. One has to be physically fit to take part in this trek.


Buran Ghati (Barua Pass) Trek: This is scheduled to happen from 21st September to 26th September and one has to book their tickets with an amount of Rs 18,500. This is a very convenient place for the trekkers as the routes are small and can be covered in lesser days. Buran Ghati Pass is one of them which have a medium difficulty level and one can easily take this trek in the months of May, June, September and October. One has to cover the Buran Ghati Pass which is 4758 m high and one can go for this trek directly from Sangla Valley to Pabbar Valley. From here, one can also visit some beautiful villages like Kalpa and Chitkul.

Everest Base camp and Kala Patthar Trek: This is happening on 1st October and one has a pinch of Rs 56,000 to go for this. The highest peak in the world is Everest and this one is called the mother of all the treks. This is essentially designed for the experienced trekkers and those who are adventurous enough. One has to trek at least 7 hours every day in this route.
